About the role

As People & Change Business Partner you will act in a partnering capacity with the ability to provide comprehensive People support on both a strategic and operational basis. You will be responsible for the People & Change strategy for Antser.

Do you possess a wide range of HR skills including recruitment, knowledge of organisational design, TUPE and acquisitions?

Working with the leadership and executive teams, you will: 

  • Devise and implement a People & Change strategy for Antser ensuring that business priorities are addressed in line with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee the advice, guidance and support of line managers across the business on the application of key People policies including performance, disciplinary, sickness, grievance, appraisal, recruitment and selection and change management ensuring that legislation, policy and best practice are adhered to.
  • Devise and lead a recruitment strategy for Antser ensuring that best practice is followed and Antser values are adhered to and the recruitment process supported accordingly.
  • Ensure that external best practice is implemented within Antser.
  • Deliver excellent problem solving skills in understanding the implications of various issues and situations in delivering credible solutions.
  • Drive the use of workforce information to identify trends in performance and behaviour, including turnover, absenteeism, vacancy rates while raising line manager awareness.
  • Proactively identify priorities and key issues, also able to pre-empt problems and resolve issues effectively.
  • Understand wider operational priorities and how the People team can support these/impact on these i.e. absenteeism, costs, performance etc.
  • Identify learning and development opportunities and contribute to, design and deliver training to line managers on key People policies including performance, conduct, sickness, grievance, appraisal, recruitment and change management.
  • Coach leaders on the skills in applying and implementing People policies and best practice building trusted relationships with them. You will mentor and counsel line managers where difficulties arise.
  • Work alongside leaders identifying priority training needs from appraisals and supervisions ensuring these are addressed and followed through in development plans and succession plans identified.
  • Be responsible for the integration and implementation of all TUPE and acquisition activities within your business areas.
  • Drive employee engagement through change management initiatives.
  • Lead and, where appropriate, support ad-hoc projects e.g. restructuring, redundancy programmes and TUPE transfers in to and out of the business.
  • Work with the business to create a culture of customer excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with and support the wider team on projects and different locations and business areas as and when required as well as mentoring and supporting other members of the team.

Essential Skills
  • Able to share your individual knowledge with the team and understand what makes a great team.
  • Act as a coach to leaders within the business
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with a strong understanding of the organisations markets and competitors.
  • Be able to support and implement change using change management methodology.
  • Have a proven ability to provide advice on HR Policies and Procedures and provide HR support with disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence
  • Have strong problem solving and analytic skills
  • Be pro-active and able to prioritise workload effectively
  • Be able to build and maintain effective relationships and work across a wide range of contacts
  • Be IT literate and have attention to detail
  • Understand budgets and the financial implications of decisions
  • Understand HR and IT systems
  • Have good written skills including report writing
  • Have strong and up to date knowledge of employment legislation including TUPE
  • Have strong and confident communications skills with good negotiation skills
  • Have a full driving license & willingness to travel

Desirable Skills

Whilst not essential it would assist in the role if you are:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experienced of working in all areas of HR
  • CIPD qualified
