Delivering direct services and compliance for over 30 years
As the leading provider in delivering Advocacy and Independent Visiting Services to children and young people across the UK, Reconstruct, part of Antser, strive to ensure children and young people are included in all aspects of any decisions which may impact their life.
Enabling the voice of the child and empowering the team around the child to improve outcomes is our core driver. We support this across 3 areas: direct services for children, ad-hoc or contracted services to support regulatory compliance and best practice and VR immersive contact environments.Â
Independent visiting
An Independent Visitor (IV) is an adult volunteer who is independent of social services.
Their role is to establish a supportive and long-term relationship with a young person built on trust. They will guide and listen to a young person, helping to build their self-esteem and develop new interests and skills over time.
advocacy services
Advocacy is helping someone to have their say, representing their views, feelings and wishes. It is about empowering children and young people to make sure that their rights are respected and to ensure their views and wishes are fully considered in the decision makers.
Advocacy is about making sure that vulnerable children and young people are given a voice, get the help they need when they need it (however small or large) and making sure that someone is always ready to listen to them and act quickly to support.
PARTICIPATION
We involve children and young people in the design, delivery and implementation of services which affect and impact their lives, which is crucial to ensuring better outcomes for their future.Â
Reconstruct, part of Antser, helps facilitate conversations between children who are in care and those who provide services via dedicated children in care councils, as well as forums and panels.

Our independent visitors, who are volunteers and independent of Social Services, establish a supportive and long term relationship with a young person. They will guide and listen to a young person, helping to build their self-esteem and develop new interests and skills over time. It’s fun, and it makes a real difference.
