Learning outcomes
- To understand key legislation and policy that influences multi-agency safeguarding practice;
- To understand and apply the aims, duties and principles of all safeguarding practice;
- To understand shared and designated roles and responsibilities;
- To understand how to work effectively in partnership with others and how to resolve professional differences ;
- To understand the different stages of the LB Waltham Forest Safeguarding Adults Process and how different organisations and professionals can be involved;
- To understand different approaches and responsibilities in specific safeguarding situations.
Description
The course is for experienced practitioners from the local authority, health care sector and partner organisations who are involved in the multi-agency safeguarding response.
This includes, but is not limited to attendance at and contribution to strategy/planning meetings, carrying our enquiry actions and developing a Safeguarding Plan.
This course is delivered by our expert facilitators who will bring their first hand experience and tailor the course to suit your learning needs.
