Description
The aim of this course is to help participants understand the stigma that can be attached to mental illness and what professionals can do to offer their support. This course develops an increased understanding of the link between parental mental health and child protection, helping practitioners remain child-focused at all times.
The course will allow participants the opportunity to mental health condition and how this is viewed in society. It will equip participants with the knowledge of how to positively assess families that are effected by someone with mental health needs, as well as also equipping them with knowledge about the effects on children and how this may contribute to them experiencing mental health needs.
The course will allow the participants to explore a range of tools to engage children in the assessment process.
